Service Description

Hello, my name is Charlie. I offer birth and postpartum support services and am currently working toward my birth doula certification. I grew up in Saskatchewan in a big Ukrainian/Cree family, where there were always due dates approaching and baby showers to attend. The first birth I was a part of was my sister’s. I was only fifteen, and we love to joke that I was her “unofficial doula” because I went to Lamaze classes with her and stayed by her side throughout her entire labor. Almost two decades later, I witnessed my sister-in-law give birth, and everything came flooding back. I found myself rubbing her feet, keeping the room quiet and dim, and asking the nurses maybe a few too many questions. That experience made me realize that birth work came naturally to me, and that it was something I felt truly called to. I aim to support calm, grounded, and energized births, helping you stay connected to yourself through each wave and offering steady guidance as you move to the other side of it. Birth is a rite of passage, a renewal, and one of the most powerful experiences on earth. It would be an honour for me to support you through it.
