Birth Doula Training
At Bloom, we’re dedicated to supporting the next generation of birth doulas. We offer a 1 year, 1:1 mentorship with Morag Hastings, a highly experienced birth photographer and birth doula.
Our program is designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to become a successful birth doula. We have a supportive community of working doulas in the Lower Mainland. With our help, you’ll gain access to guidance on how to start your business, get clients, support clients and grow your doula business.

Bloom provides experienced mentorship to give you the confidence to grow your doula business, expand your skills, and make a difference in your clients’ lives. Morag will guide you through latest evidence-based care and teach you how to support clients in a low-intervention birth experience.
Morag Hastings offers a 10 birth / one-year mentoring program. During our one on one sessions, we will cover prenatal visits, comfort measures, what normal birth looks like, how to help your clients get the birth they want, running your business, self-care, how to run a successful doula business and build your business to find the clients you want. Included with the on-call portion you will get personalized on-the-spot birth support, post-birth debriefing sessions and business support. This one-on-one training will help you take your doula business to the next level.
Starting from the beginning? We are now offering a comprehensive 4-day Weekend Birth Doula Workshop to help you get started. During our birth doula workshop you will get to know other birth nerds, learn from experienced doulas in the Lower Mainland as well as walk away with a vault of valuable resources to help you support your clients and start your business. You will gain valuable insights into doula practices, business strategies, hands on activities and all the details of running a successful doula business. You will leave the weekend feeling excited, empowered with a certificate in your hands ready to call yourself a birth doula.
