Service Description

Our prenatal classes are informative, practical and enjoyable. They are also a great way to connect with other parents while preparing for your new parenting journey. Over 12 hours, you’ll be guided through birth, baby and beyond. You’ll learn what to expect, practise hands-on comfort techniques, ask questions and build confidence for the transition into parenthood. Saturday & Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pomegranate Community Midwives Clinic, East Vancouver 2647 E Hastings St, Vancouver, BC What we cover ✫ Small class sizes of 6–8 couples for personal attention and plenty of time for questions. ✫ What to expect during labour and birth and how partners can provide effective support. ✫ Pain-coping strategies, comfort measures and hands-on support techniques. ✫ Creating a supportive and positive birth environment at home or in hospital. ✫ Birth fears, informed consent and building confidence for birth. ✫ Pain medication, epidurals, inductions, hospital procedures and working with your healthcare team. ✫ Birth plan preparation and understanding your options. ✫ Cesarean birth, recovery and aftercare. ✫ Preparing for the first six weeks postpartum and the transition to parenthood. ✫ Practical baby care for the first six weeks and beyond. ✫ An exclusive 1-hour Feeding Your Baby class. ✫ Postpartum health, support and building your community. You’ll also receive ☞ Birth + Postpartum Resource Guide with practical information and exclusive community coupon codes. ☞ Feeding Your Baby Guide to refer back to after class. ☞ Exclusive pain-coping audio track to practise at home. ☞ Private class chat group to connect with the families in your class and continue building community. ☞ Catch-up recordings: If you need to miss part of the weekend, you’ll have access to a recording of a previous class session so you can catch up on the material you missed. Price $395 + GST per couple $200 + GST per person If registering as a single person, please complete the registration process until you receive your confirmation email. The system will request the full course amount, but please only send $210 by e-transfer to hello@birthbybloom.com to hold your spot. For single registrations, we cannot guarantee a second spot for a support person later, as class sizes are limited.
